Floor and paving slabs are supplied both in the formats commonly stocked in the German market and cut to size for a specific layout. Frequently requested formats are:
30 x 60 cm, 40 x 40 cm, 40 x 60 cm, 60 x 60 cm, 40 x 80 cm and 80 x 80 cm.
Which of these is practical depends on the material — a stone with a coarser structure may not be suitable for the largest formats at a given thickness. Treat the list as a catalogue of request options rather than as a guaranteed availability for every material.
For terrace and paving work, surface treatment matters more than appearance: brushed, bush-hammered and flamed finishes behave differently underfoot from polished.
