Iranian hard stone traded as granite — black, white and green material for surfaces that need to take wear.

This group covers the harder Iranian stones sold commercially as granite. The trade term is broader than the geological one: material listed as granite in the stone trade may be classified as gneiss, diorite or slate once a petrographic report is done.

We state both. The trade name is what your customer will ask for; the classification is what the certificate for that quarry says. Where the two differ, we tell you rather than letting the trade name stand as a technical statement.

The practical point for a buyer is hardness and abrasion behaviour, not the label. These stones are chosen for external paving, heavily used floors, worktops and memorial work — applications where marble and limestone would wear. Supplied as raw blocks, slabs and cut-to-size, with the batch's own technical data on request.
