Travertine
Iranian travertine in raw blocks and cut-to-size formats, selected at the quarry for European processing.
Travertine is a banded sedimentary limestone formed around mineral springs. Its open pore structure and layered movement make it immediately recognisable, and it is worked either across the bed (giving a cloudy, veinless face) or along it (giving a linear grain).
We supply Iranian travertine as raw blocks for your own sawing, and as slabs or cut-to-size pieces where you would rather receive finished dimensions. Cream, silver and titanium are the three families we source most consistently.
Pore filling, surface finish and cutting direction change the appearance considerably, so tell us the intended use when you enquire. For exterior work, ask for the technical data of the specific quarry batch rather than relying on general travertine figures.
