Pietra Grey
Dark grey Iranian marble with fine white veining, also known as Lashotor. One of the most exported Iranian marbles.
Pietra Grey is a dark grey to near-black marble crossed by fine, bright white veins. It is quarried in the Lashotor area of Isfahan province and is also traded under that name.
The contrast between ground and vein is what the stone is bought for, and it is strongest on a polished surface. Honed and leathered finishes soften the grey and mute the veining considerably — worth knowing before selecting from a polished sample for a honed application.
It is widely used for interior flooring, wall cladding, stairs, kitchen and vanity tops and reception counters. Vein direction can be matched across adjacent pieces when they come from the same block. Supplied as raw blocks, slabs and cut-to-size; tell us the finish and whether you need vein continuity.
