Natural Stone Stair Treads & Risers
Natural stone stair treads and risers in standard and custom dimensions, cut to order.
Stair components are supplied cut to the dimensions of the staircase rather than from stock sizes. The formats below are the ones most frequently requested in the German market and are a practical starting point for an enquiry:
Treads — 100 x 35 x 3 cm, 120 x 35 x 3 cm, 150 x 35 x 3 cm, or custom.
Risers — 100 / 120 / 150 cm long x 15–20 cm high x 2 cm thick, or custom.
Dimensions are always given as length x depth x thickness for treads and length x height x thickness for risers, so there is no ambiguity when quoting.
When enquiring, state the material, the number of steps, the finished dimensions, the surface treatment and the nosing detail. For external stairs also say so explicitly, because the surface must be chosen for slip resistance and the batch technical data becomes relevant.
