Crystal Marble
Iranian crystalline marble with a bright, sugary crystal structure — Neyriz and Azna material in blocks and slabs.
Crystal marble describes marble whose recrystallisation has produced a visibly crystalline, sugar-like texture rather than a smooth, fine ground. Held to the light the surface glitters slightly where individual calcite crystals catch it.
The two Iranian sources we work with are Neyriz and Azna. Both give a bright white to off-white stone with varying degrees of grey shadow, and both are used where a clean, luminous white is wanted without moving to imported Carrara or Thassos.
Coarser crystal structure takes a slightly different polish from fine-grained marble and can be more open to staining, so sealing is worth discussing for kitchen and bathroom use. Supplied as raw blocks, slabs and cut-to-size.
